“Marathon of solidarity. Polish sport for Ukraine” is a project implemented by the Łukasiewicz Institute throughout 2023. Since February (the anniversary of the Russian aggression), we have been presenting an exhibition whose protagonists include Ukrainian athletes – beneficiaries of Polish aid. They talk about how important the support from Poles was to them when their world, life plans and sports dreams collapsed. The exhibition boards and catalogue highlight many positive examples of solidarity between Polish athletes and Ukrainians. The purpose of the exhibition is, for example, to honour the contribution of the Polish sporting community to helping Ukrainians.
The exhibition, consisting of 20 mobile display boards, has been prepared in two language versions – Polish and English. Central vernissages are planned at the Presidential Palace, the Polish Parliament and the Olympic Centre of the Polish Olympic Committee.
The website is part of the project “Marathon of solidarity. Polish sport for Ukraine.” The task was co-financed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism under the “Sport for All” Programme.
